I am excited to share that my photo series “A New Chapter”, part of the international 1 in 6 by 2030 project, is currently exhibited at the PhotoVille Festival 2024 in New York.
The series is featured in the chapter titled “72”, which invites photographers to document the life of a 72-year-old individual. My work portrays my 72-year-old aunt as she accompanies her husband through the physical and mental decline caused by his incurable illness.
The ‘1 in 6 by 2030’ project, initiated by photographers Ilvy Njiokiktjien, Sara Terry, and Ed Kashi, uses powerful photographic storytelling to explore the social and personal aspects of ageing across the globe.
